Suggested Enhancements to Investment Gold

Over the years, some of the most important enhancements to Investment Gold have resulted from suggestions made by you, our clients. We strongly encourage you to share your suggestions as they come to mind. As we receive your suggestions, we'll add them to this page. Not only does this confirm our receipt of your suggestions, it also makes your suggestions available to our other clients for comment (we will add any comments to this page as well, right below the corresponding suggestion). We'll take all of your suggestions and comments into consideration when deciding what features to include in future versions of Investment Gold.

The best way to submit a suggestion is by electronic mail, with a subject of "Suggestion". The worst way to submit a suggestion is by mentioning it in a telephone conversation or electronic mail message whose primary purpose is something other than the suggestion. If you make a suggestion but don't see it reflected in our list, please let us know. Sometimes we reject a suggestion from a relatively new client because it reflects an incomplete understanding of Investment Gold. Occasionally we reject a suggestion that our team feels is at odds with the philosophy of Investment Gold. But it's possible that we might fail to post a suggestion simply because it was overlooked in a long phone conversation or electronic mail message.

Suggestions:

Add a library of industry-standard forms in PDF format for mail merge. (Mr. Gary Shaughnessy, Shaughnessy Financial, ON, Canada)

Increase the length of the "Dear #2" field in the "Addressees and Dears" screen, so that it can accommodate the names of two parents and three children. (Mr. Allan Norman, Atlantis Financial, ON, Canada)

Increase the length of the "Employer" field in the "Know Your Client" screen. (Mr. Allan Norman, Atlantis Financial, ON, Canada)

Increase the number of user defined fields that are 40 characters in length, so the long fields can be used to track favorite movies, favorite magazines, favorite music, favorite books, favorite charities, etc. (Mr. Allan Norman, Atlantis Financial, ON, Canada)

Use the "My GoldMine" window (added in GoldMine 6.0) to display a live feed of financial news headlines. (Mr. Fred C. Dent III, Dent Asset Management, Baton Rouge, LA)

Use the "GM+View" folder (added in GoldMine 6.0) to display a wide range of information about an investor, including a photo, a map with directions to their home or place of work, and a live feed of news headlines related to subjects of interest to the investor (e.g. if the investor is interested in the local sports teams, include headlines re those teams so that the wealth manager has up-to-date material for a conversation). (Mr. Fred C. Dent III, Dent Asset Management, Baton Rouge, LA)

Provide a report that consolidates investor information pulled from multiple contact records that are linked together by a "family tree" relationship diagram. (Mr. Fred C. Dent III, Dent Asset Management, Baton Rouge, LA)

Integrate with www.cardstore.com, an on-line greeting card service. (Mr. Fred C. Dent III, Dent Asset Management, Baton Rouge, LA)

Provide the ability to merge information from multiple investor profiles to an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. (Mr. Paul Mowbray, Money Concepts, Etobicoke, ON)
